Terms of Service
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Service description
Neumann is an agent-accessible Monte Carlo simulation service, operated by TriKro LLC, doing business as Kromatic ("we", "us", "the operator"). You submit a graph of probabilistic root nodes and calculated nodes; the service runs the simulation and returns a statistical summary of the results. By using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
Use through AI assistants
You may use Neumann through an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok. The assistant decides when to call Neumann and what to send, and its provider's own terms and privacy policy govern your use of the assistant. Requests an assistant or other agent makes on your behalf, including credit purchases, are treated as made by you.
Accounts and API keys
Self-registration issues an account and an API key; where offered, you can instead connect with a Kromatic account (sign-in at api.kromatic.com). Keep your API key and access tokens secret: anyone holding them can run simulations and spend your credits. Report a compromised key to legal@kromatic.com so we can revoke it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can ask legal@kromatic.com to delete your account at any time.
Credits, pricing and refunds
Credits are prepaid and non-transferable. New accounts may receive a
small number of free starter credits, which have no cash value and are
not refundable. Unused purchased credits are refundable within 14 days
of purchase: email innovate@kromatic.com with your account id to request
a refund, which we handle manually. Credits already consumed running a
simulation are not refunded. The current
per-credit price is never quoted here — it can change operationally
— and is always available, live and unauthenticated, at
GET /billing/pricing.
Purchases are processed by Stripe and the price is shown before you
pay. When you buy credits through checkout, your card is saved with
Stripe so that later purchases you request (for example through the
buy_credits tool) can be charged to it without re-entering
card details; you authorize those charges when you, or an agent acting
for you, request them. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to exceed the anonymous allowance (currently 3 runs per UTC day) by rotating identities — creating new accounts, or varying IP addresses or user agents, solely to re-trigger the free tier. Do not resell access to the service. Do not generate abusive load against the service, such as scripted hammering of the anonymous endpoint or any load intended to degrade service for other users. Do not use the service unlawfully, try to break its security, or put other people's personal data in graphs.
Your content and share links
You keep ownership of the graphs you submit and the results you receive. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them to run, secure and improve the service. If you create a share link, the shared run is visible to anyone who has the link until you revoke it; you are responsible for what you choose to share.
Availability
The service is offered on a best-effort basis. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) on the free, anonymous tier.
Disclaimer
“Simulation outputs depend entirely on your inputs. They are for decision support, not financial, legal or medical advice.”
Results are random samples from the distributions you supply: they vary from run to run, and they are only as good as your model and its assumptions. The service and its outputs are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. You are responsible for decisions you make using them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TriKro LLC, doing business as Kromatic is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including decisions made based on simulation output, and our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version published at this URL is always the current one, and the "Last updated" date shows when it last changed. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
